TRI Handkerchiefs is a social enterprise that informs the world about deforestation whilst supporting grass roots (mostly indigenous) organizations on the ground working either directly or indirectly to protect Indonesia’s peat land forests. We have established a decent foundation for this social enterprise over the past 5 months, with the beginnings of a social media following and with over 1000 handkerchiefs sold. In 2017 we wish to sharpen our focus and step up our efforts with a goal of selling 100,000 handkerchiefs while reaching a wide social media following in Indonesia and on at least 3 more continents.
The goal of this session is to generate ideas that will act as a springboard for TRI Handkerchiefs to reach its 2017 goals.Some topics that could be discussed:

About the speaker :
Ben is a grade 9 student at Green School, Bali. He started TRI Handkerchiefs with the support and encouragement of his parents in June, as a Quest project for his middle school graduation. Having just returned from his third trip to Kalimantan in the past six months, he is motivated to grow this social enterprise in order to spread the word about deforestation issues far and wide. It is also our goal to generate a meaningful and ongoing revenue stream to support grass roots projects in Indonesia that are best positioned to protect peat land forests. Ben is considering taking 6 months off in 2017 to world school with his parents and build TRI partner relationships in North America and Asia.
