Lady Boss: Women in Leadership

LADY BOSS : Women in Leadership

Women are gradually making their leadership presence in many industries globally. Slowly but sure, we are breaking the traditional glass ceiling that hindered us from entering higher level positions. Is women leadership different than men leadership? What are the major challenges? There are many questions around it, and we’re opening 2020 series of Lady Boss by discussing about this topic! For the speakers, we’ll have three amazing female leaders from three totally different worlds : Anny from Taiwan, Martha from Colombia, and Tasya from Indonesia. They will share their personal experience about being a leader themselves, along with sprinkling us with many pro-tips! Come to share your questions and ideas, whilst networking with other lady bosses. We are bringing back this really cool event to celebrate the amazing women who are building fantastic businesses in Dojo.

The Lady Bosses:

Anny Lee was born in Taiwan, raised in the States. She’s travelled to more than 40 countries and lived in 8 countries. She has been working as a somatic psychotherapist for the last 20 years. She specializes in relationship dynamics and trauma recovery. Anny leads many retreats from women’s spirituality and sexuality, conscious coupling, setting healthy boundaries, healing relationship with parents and trauma recovery for the nervous system. She is the author of 2 books published in Chinese, and leads retreats once a month. To her, lady boss means a woman who is the CEO of her own life. Her base is freedom and her purpose is joy.  How she lives and works is an ever-changing mystery, stemming from her connection to Source. Anny encourages everyone to listen to her body, her emotions, and live outside the confinement of the mind. Success means making joy and freedom the top priority in life, and creating one’s own unique path along the way.

Martha Fuentes was born and raised in Colombia. After several years working in the corporate world in the Beverages and BPO industry, she felt life is too short for a 9 – 5 job and made a big decision to quit her perfect job in the perfect company…developing your leadership style can be very painful sometimes! Now she is based in Bali, working remotely as a Project Manager and finally living the dream that she couldn’t achieved when she was stuck in the place that she didn’t belong. Within those two periods, Martha has successfully built a multicultural team conformed by 15 people that work 100% remotely, and is also working in Business Development. Now that she is in the place she wanted to be doing what she wanted to do, she will share her experience, and how everything in your life happens for a reason.

Tasya Karissa was born and raised in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. During her study at university, she joined a marine reef restoration workshop in Pemuteran, Bali in 2004. Since then perform research, present the result worldwide and would like to work in marine conservation cause, but many times her “woman” role such as pregnant and breastfeeding conditions are not appealing to her employer candidates. In 2014, through her 2nd pregnancy and breastfeeding, She runs her own first reef restoration project in Ambon, Maluku, with supports from her previous workshop trainer in Bali. Starting 2015 she was chosen as the leader of Innovative Marine Restoration Technology in the country, called, Biorock Indonesia. It is a unique approach of coral reef restoration combining blended finance strategy through the non-profit foundation and sustainable enterprise, to empower local community restoring coral reefs using the latest technology, as the answer for rapidly decreasing coral reefs.
