An anonymous motivational quote from Tumblr once said, ‘You Were Born With The Ability To Change People’s Lives, Don’t Ever Waste It’. Sounds cheesy at first, but at second thought, isn’t that true? Are you wondering how to build a purpose-driven business that brings joy not only to you but to people around you? Gather with these women on missions: Citra from Indonesia, Lise from France and Michele from USA and they’ll share with us how they manage to build purpose-driven business that help reconstruct people’s lives, using skills that are unique only for them. Come to share your questions and ideas, whilst networking with other lady bosses. We are bringing back this really cool event to celebrate the amazing women who are building fantastic businesses in Dojo.
The Lady Bosses:
Citra Putri was born and raised in Jakarta in the 80’s. Raised in a family that enjoyed weekly family dinner parties and Sunday excursion to the Chinatown part of the city, food became a huge part of her life. After obtaining a Diploma in French Lit, she decided to folow her childhood passion and enrolled to Chef School in Toronto, Canada. From there she started to work in the culinary industry starting from small pasta shops, convention hotels to fine dining restaurants. Having worked with numerous Chefs in Canada, Australia, Jakarta and Bali and climbed up to Head Chef position she decided it was to time start a catering business of her own. Cforcatering was launched on 2015 starting as a side hustle and, motivated by her weigh loss efforts, now has become a personalized catering for clients who love healthy lifestyle.
Lise Slimane was born and raised in France, but home is where her backpack is. She started traveling solo at 17 and has lived, studied and worked extensively in the Americas and Caribbean region. Curious about the rest of the world, she’s currently a Digital Nomad exploring South-East Asia. While still a graduate student, Lise co-founded Captiz – a translation marketplace – and took it from idea to its acquisition in less than 3 years. Through this experience, she on-boarded +700 freelancers and managed thousands of missions. Today, Lise uses this expertise to help individuals and companies thrive through the freelance economy – as an online educator, consultant, and author.
Michele Aldrich was born and raised in Kansas, USA and graduated with a masters of architecture. She soon after clicked her ruby red heels, and went to design and build large scale projects in Paris and Hong Kong for five years. But…she found herself overweight and hating the corporate world. She decided to change her lifestyle, went back to the Denver, Colorado in the states to become a fitness model and nationally qualified bodybuilder. She then became a NASM personal trainer, and focused on providing corporate wellness services to help other busy professionals just like herself live a healthy lifestyle. However, when she first started out on her own, she realized she was struggling with lead generation – and found she wasn’t alone! She began learning about creating simple sales funnels to create leads and grow revenue. She saw a large need, and now helps others to do just the same. Fascinated by the Balinese culture and loving the beach, Michele moved to Bali indefinitely and can be found helping other badass ladies get fit online, and helping other business owners to create simple sales funnels for lead generation.
