The Lady Bosses:
Kelly is a Success Coach for Visionary Entrepreneurs. She helps people set up and launch online businesses so they can work from anywhere in the world, on purpose-driven businesses that positively impact the world. She first entered the workforce at the age of 13 and has since been led by her strong intuition her whole life. She has learned a range of skills across 12 different jobs, across 3 different countries. For the bulk of her career, she spent climbing the corporate ladder in sales, management, and marketing, and her last corporate role was for one of NZ’s largest corporation in the telecommunications industry. 2 years ago she decided to try her hand at Entrepreneurship and put her best foot forward in the coaching industry. Since arriving to Bali 3 months ago, she has taken a fresh new direction in Coaching and has finally landed upon her highest purpose. Kelly is happy to share her learnings and experiences in all she has learned over the course of her life.
Originally from Bandung and currently living in Bali, Lidya has been a female tattoo artist for years under the alter-name LADV Tattoos. She got her first understanding about tattoo back in the university when she interviewed an artist and thought that the job was actually a very nice – expressive thing to do. Lidya learned tattooing and began to fall in love deeper with it. Before she gets to permanently mark a thing on her client’s body, she will discuss with her client about the idea and concept of the experience that will be marked on the body. After concepting the idea, they will be subtracting the elements and translate them to visual. In 2016 she opened a studio called Be No Square Bali that now becomes a home for 5 female artists including her. Lidya wants to create a more comfortable environment for female clients to get tattooed instead of walk-in studios with all its traffic, also to develop a sustainable and ethical business in tattoo industry.
Mita Carriman is the founder of Adventurely, a recently venture-backed startup that helps solo travelers plan meetups at bucket-list attractions around the world. Mita was originally a lawyer in NYC before she started Adventurely, but a solo business trip to Philadelphia changed her life when she tried to use tech to easily meet other travelers, and couldn’t find a solution that worked well for her needs, so she created one with Adventurely! Adventurely soft launched last week and Mita also just completed her participation in the Backstage Capital Accelerator in Los Angeles where Adventurely was 1 of 6 startups out 1900 applicants accepted into the program. Mita is happy to share her experience on vc fundraising for startups, being in a tech accelerator, and all things related to solo travel!
