Lady Boss: Be Your First Biggest Fan

Cheer For Yourself Even When No One Else Would!

Starting your own business is not an easy task, and let’s agree that hearing people’s opinions are often make it even more harder. Not everyone is gonna root for you; some will underestimate your ideas, think they know better, and giving you many doubts to carry on your projects. This October, these three business women: Syra from Indonesia, Vanes from Indonesia, and Irina from Kazakhstan would share about how they kept their faith in the beginning phase of their businesses, being their own first believer and maintaining the consistency and love on what they’re doing along the process. Come to share your questions and ideas, whilst networking with other lady bosses. We are bringing back this really cool event to celebrate the amazing women who are building fantastic businesses in Dojo.

The Lady Bosses

Syra Adinda was born and raised in West Java, but also partially grew up in Australia. Syra has spent more than half her lifetime defining herself as a musician. Her journey revolved around the violin from Elementary School to a Music Therapy degree. Throughout the time, she realized she wasn’t passionate and was only playing for other people’s appreciation. The decision to walk away from music profesionally turned her life around by doing what makes her happy. She now goes by the title video editor and video creator who just launched her video editing company, Zabenno.

Vany Vanessa was born in Lombok and raised in Surabaya. She was an architecture graduate, and first began her architectural journey by doing an internship program in Bali.  Ever since, she fell in love with Bali and right after graduating, she then pursued an architectural career starting her first job as an architect. Later on, she found out that although architecture is what she’s passionate about, business is what she’s good at. After 2 years of working a full-time job, she then took a leap and switched her career to an “archi-preneur” when she starts building her own architecture and interior design agency called Studio Tropis from 2017.

Originally from Kazakhstan though a Russian by Roots, Irina Norna is a single mom of a young boy who has lived in six countries her whole life and decided to settle in Bali since for years ago. Irina is an entrepreneur; her online-project is already pretty adult – 12 years. She has started when no one believed that there’s a future in online-teaching, or you might say since a ‘pre-Instagram” era. Her main passion is education. She’s an art teacher, she built her own company on teaching people to design theirs own life with art of theirs souls. Through this, she creates art-therapy tools for working with inner hurdles and fears. Irina’s second education was an architect, so she’s able to understand and create the rhythm of lines, shapes, forms, and motivation. Now she also own her architect bureau and use her skills and knowledge in her current businesses.
