Docker is an incredibly powerful development tool, but its use cases are vast and the documentation cumbersome. In this talk, Spiro will demystify docker by showing how you can mimic a distributed network of web servers, databases, and workers all on your local machine.
What People Will Learn:
-The concepts behind docker and its syntax
-The use cases of docker,
-Why would you want to use it in a development
-Why it’s helpful for production
-How to create a docker network on their local machine using their own web server (i.e. Rails), database (i.e. Postsgres), and any other servers they would need in a production environment
