Short Description*:
Ever heard of Rx and reactive programming? Want to see it in action through real examples? Through this workshop you will play with HTTP, web sockets and build your first data stream to display Bitcoin price in real time. Exciting isn’t it?

Long Description:
During this workshop you will play with an API to get real time update of Bitcoin price and display it as you wish.
Don’t worry about the language, ReactiveX is just a way of doing things, every language has it’s own implementation. We will provides a base of code where you will just need to add Rx specific code (No time to do it from scratch). We’ll give you the choice between Javascript, Java or Swift to make everyone happy.
We’ll first start with a presentation about Rx following with a practical session because we suck at making fancy powerpoint, and practice is always fun.

About the speaker*:
We’re Bastien & Thomas, we works together as mobile developers (Android & iOS) at Heetch, a startup based in France. We’re traveling South East Asia for a few months together working remotely. We now want to share some of our skills with Reactive programming since it has a huge place in our codebase but also in our hearts.
